Post: Captcha illegible in Firefox on Android?
Someone reported that in Firefox on Android, the captcha is very hard to impossible to read. Is this a known problem, or did something change recently?
I wondered if it was the skin, or some problem on my server, but I'm seeing the same problem on the pikchr.org site:
I noticed the other day that for space character in the constant-width font on Android/Firefox is narrower than all other characters. (In other words, the constant-width font is not really constant-width.) That messes up rendering of tables drawn using unicode box characters, for example.

Seems to be the combination of the two. It works fine in desktop Firefox.

I was able to reproduce this on an Android tablet. Should be fixed now with check-in 2026-05-08T16:35:03.083Z.
