When looking at the main timeline or a branches timeline the "show files" button follows the "older" button. If the "show files" view is accessed, the "hide files" button precedes the "older" button (buttons swap locations). The distinction is particularly pronounced on a branches timeline views.

I considered listing this as cosmetic, but it impacted usability which is more than cosmetic to me.

Per a mailing list comment from DRH, the current (and preferred) behaviour is that the buttons sort alphabetically.
