Fossil's built-in chat is a genuine differentiator — no other VCS has integrated real-time chat. Messages stored as artifacts in the repo. Build: HTMX-polled or SSE chat UI per project, read via FossilReader, write via fossil chat send CLI. Eliminates separate Slack/Discord need for small teams.
