Fossil SCM
branch/andygoth-doc-symlink
I don't know why this check-in was originally moved to a branch. Perhaps the idea was that it is incomplete, not being able to support multiple levels of symlinks. At the time I chose to only support one level of symlinks to avoid having to deal with the possibility of infinite loops, but also to make life easy for myself. But I am only guessing.
My change was not originally discussed on the mailing list, since at the time I thought it would be uncontroversial. What I did do was notify the developer of the project I'd found which could make use of it. I forwarded his reply to the mailing list, and that gave rise to two threads almost entirely concerned with JavaScript, github, and Content-Security-Policy:
- [fossil-users] Fwd: Re: Fossil README symlink
- [fossil-users] Content-Security-Policy Was: Fossil README symlink
Note that I renamed the branch from doc-symlink to anygoth-doc-symlink to be more consistent with my other project branches.
